This time, the varied series of events adopted the theme “Migration, Integration and Diversity”. The 11th Arab Cultural Week opened alongside a photography exhibition at the University of Bremen. Music and speeches accompanied the event. It offered an insight into the perspectives and experiences of young refugees. Around 40 children and young adults documented through photography what they had brought with them when fleeing their homeland and what connects them with the city of Hamburg. A space was created for mutual understanding and processing past experiences. The refugee children had the opportunity to engage emotionally with their past.
